How well do you know the Thoroughbred? It is allegedly one of the best documented horse breeds in existence. It was the G.S.B. (General Stud Book) established for Thoroughbreds in the eighteenth century that provided the basis for the documentation of other breeds, including stud books, registration, and a strictly regulated gene pool. Then there are the famous three “Founding Fathers” of course. Join Dr Miriam A Bibby as she reveals other aspects of the narrative that are less well-known, and explains why coal is one of the key missing elements of the story.
