We are thrilled to announce the launch of a formalized membership platform for the Equine History Collective. 

What the EHC has accomplished so far: 

• Founded in 2016 as a small email list, the EHC has grown to a formidable community of several hundred equine researchers living and working in over a dozen countries.  
• The fabulous success of our annual conferences in 2018 and 2019 has encouraged us to plan more virtual events for the coming year, and continue to bring together our unique international and highly engaged community. 

Your interest is helping us grow, and creating new needs to expand our organization! 

• We have devised a new membership platform over the last year as a way to offer something back to you in membership benefits while also creating a stable foundation for the future of the EHC. 
• Membership is optional and we will continue to make our resources and events accessible for the entire collective — but membership also will strengthen the identity of our EHC community and our commitment to fostering research and conversation that bridges academic and equestrian communities. 

We are excited to launch an official EHC membership option:

• You can join formally at any time, or support our work by buying a t-shirt or direct donation. 
• Member benefits include: reduced conference admission, voting rights, members-only digital events, and eligibility for a #MemberMonday profile (the membership launch will not affect existing profiles). 
• The first five individual sponsoring members will receive an EHC tote bag! 
• Anyone who signs up for membership by February 20 will receive a custom welcome gift in their email inbox.  
• To kickstart our membership, we will host a virtual chat for all new members, with a behind-the-scenes peek at upcoming plans for the EHC!
